A Whole Lotta Latte

Coffee, AKA societies favourite pick-me-up drink. It’s certainly ours when we are serving from our infamous Coffee Tuk! Americano, cappuccino, cortado, mocha; there are so many types that tantalise the senses with their bitter-sweet aroma. But there is one coffee type that has caught the internet, and baristas, by a storm. And that is the humble, the innocent, the tasty-at-all-times-of-the-day latte. Latte milk is frothed so that is it pourable in a way that can create patterns on top of the milk. Coined ‘latte art’, some of these crazy patterns have taken this simple coffee to the next level! Check out some of our favourite latte art below:

Cup o’ Cobweb

Fear not, there are no spiders included in this gorgeous cup. But this cobweb pattern certainly is striking! We love the use of different colours here to create the aesthetic of the web.

Green Java

Forget the classic latte, why not add some matcha to your cup? Not only does it give it this vivid green colour, but matcha also has a variety of health benefits. Some people even recommend that you should consume some form of matcha every day as it promotes healthy digestion and a balanced gut.

Mmm Meow

This latte is literally the cats whiskers. The attention to detail here is amazing! You can even see the cat’s little mouth smiling up at you before you take a sip; though it’s almost too pretty to drink!

Do you like your coffee black?

Or, black with milk? This latte has been made using activated charcoal - an ingredient which has grown in popularity over the last year due to its supposed health benefits. The classic latte leaf/ heart beautifully contrasts the black of the milk; just be sure to check your reflection after you’ve drunk this!

Bear Hug

If you thought the cat was good, what about this bear? The choice of the bear motif is perfect for a cup of coffee as it gives of a warm, welcoming image. Just like a bear hug! Though, we recommend to not go hugging any real bears - we’ve all seen The Revenant.

Lucky Latte

We can’t guarantee that this latte will bring you luck, but it certainly looks great. Who knew that you could find a four leaf clover in your coffee cup?
